From the author about the inspiration for the painting:
Can you look deep enough into yourself to come face to face with your innermost fears, your worst deeds, your scariest memories? Do you have enough strength within you to open the most tightly closed drawers of your mind? Take a look in the mirror. This picture is about you and me, about millions of falls and finding the strength to get up, about the ruthlessness of fate, about destiny, and about steadfastness. Deep down, each of us is a warrior covered with the scars of the past.
The artist says of her work:
"My paintings are made up of emotions, they are a reflection of my life full of admiration for the beauty of nature, people, the world around us, but also the downfalls, helplessness and dramatic events. I believe that everyone has some kind of super power, and I believe that mine is to share with others my energy, strength, admiration for the beauty of life and the world, which with their beauty invariably make me amazed, as well as my understanding in all the darkness and pain that sometimes accompanies us. I also create because my paintings are the only way I know of to pour out the vastness of the emotions and visions swirling inside me. It is the only vehicle for everything I have to convey. It is one of the most important things in my life."
