Biography
Born in the Borderlands, in the village of Zubrza near Lviv. He studied as a free student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. After World War II, he settled permanently in Komorów near Warsaw, where he lived and worked. He painted mainly marinas, in which he focused on depicting the power of the rough sea, as well as genre scenes of an oriental nature, in which he referred to the work of Feliks Michał Wygrzywalski. Kasprowicz was also an heir to the Polish Munich tradition, which is evident in his landscapes usually shown in winter scenery and horse-drawn carriages playing a central role in them.
