A very nice piece with a natural sheen to the surface. Slight imperfections in the sheet metal.
For a coin of this year, this is a standout piece.
In 1547, the king’s portrait was changed. A large portion of the issue features a bust of the king with a neat, smooth pointed chin, as in the 1546 issue. It wasn’t until later in the year that it was changed to this portrait, featuring the king’s unshaven beard, which, according to Ivanauskas’s catalog, is rarer for the 1547 issue.
